Hi, collective brain!

I'm working on tweaking an old Senior Composition project and want to update it with some *newer* classics (think last 25 years or so). As long as the students can find solid literary criticism on it (something more meaty than just a standard book review), it is fair game. I would also love some more multicultural options.

Any suggestions for works or authors? I just added some Murakami, Ishiguro, Alvarez, Allende, and Chabon.
