[ISLMA-Share] One to One Chromebooks

My district purchased extra chargers. Each teacher has 2 extra chargers in his/her classroom. Students are expected to charge it at home. In my building, this is a classroom management issue and is part of our universal expectations.

Sincerely,

We are getting our first sets of Chromebooks next semester, so I have no personal experience, but a friend of mine was commenting on how he has solved this problem. He offers the whole class a point of extra credit if EVERYONE comes to class with a charged chromebook. If just one person doesn’t have enough of a charge for the whole class period, the whole class loses the point for the day. He says that they then regulate each other and the extra credit doesn’t skew their grades in any way.

Hello All,

Our junior high is in the second year of one to one Chromebooks. We are having an astounding number of students that need to borrow Chromebooks because they simply don't charge them. Would anyone be willing to share their policy/ consequence or follow up that you do with students that don't charge or bring their Chromebooks to school?

Thanks so much
