I collaborate with my 5th grade teachers to do a variety of projects:

Social studies curriculum tie-in: Use Comic Life to write "A Day in the
Life" book about different colonial trades. Each student researches a
different colonial trade (silversmith, blacksmith, surveyor, etc.) and
writes one page of a graphic nonfiction class book. I put the pages in a
binder and they can keep it in their class library.

Science unit tie-in: Unit on Physics, Force, Motion, students plan and
build Rube Goldberg machines

5th grade students also learn how to use TinkerCAD through Project Ignite
and have the opportunity to create and print with our 3-D printer.
