I just got a Lulzbot Mini Desktop 3-D printer
<https://www.amazon.com/LulzBot-Mini-Desktop-3D-Printer/dp/B00S54E1AI> this
year and I recommend it! I got this model based on a recommendation from
the teen librarian at Evanston Public Library based on its low-maintenance
reliability and good customer service. It has been intuitive and easy to
use. I have tweaked more complex models by using MakePrintable.com
<http://makeprintable.com>.

I have used it with a 4th grade class with a social studies unit. They were
studying how geography influences the structure of a home. The teacher and
I taught them how to use TinkerCAD using Project Ignite
<https://projectignite.autodesk.com/>, then had them create an assigned
domecile (igloo, yurt, longhouse, etc.) They created a report/tableau
sharing their research and we displayed the 3D printed structure on it.

Good luck and have fun!
