Good morning, all!

We are having an overcrowding issue in our library. I work in a high school library, and I'm playing with the idea of changing how we take students into the media center during study hall periods. Currently, we have a system in place where students obtain a pass from their content area teacher if they have to work on an assignment. They show up to the media center with their ID and their pass, and we scan them in.

High school librarians/media specialists: how do YOU run your libraries for study hall/free periods? Do you have passes that YOU hand out? Do you have the students sign up to come to the library? Do you have teachers write the passes? Do you limit at all? Just looking for some ideas.

Thanks in advance!
