My LMC is also a busy place during lunch/study hall periods. Our students
come directly to LMC (no pass required), but we have a comfortable number
in mind. When that number is met, the rest of the students in line turn
around and go to their study hall rooms.

The system works well, except for the temptation to RUN from the cafeteria
to the LMC. (I love to say that students in my school *run* to use our
library!). With help from school security, we send away the runners, and
after a few days it seems to calm down.
