I am working with 7th grade social studies teachers on a “social responsibility” project. At a planning meeting today, one of the teachers mentioned that she’d love to incorporate Geography in the unit. For example, a student who chooses the environment as their topic, might show a map of where solar power is used.

I think that there is potential with this project to incorporate makerspace/STEM… Does anyone have ideas for this? I was thinking LED with conductive dough for the example of creating a map where solar power is used, but that is just one idea. Thank you in advance for sharing your ideas!
