Happy New Year! We are pleased to announce that the eRead Illinois Axis 360 platform now has Chromebook compatibility through the Axis 360 browser reader! We would like to thank the school library community for your feedback regarding this critical need as we could not have advocated for it without you.

Here is the announcement that was featured in a recent RAILS eNews.

Chromebooks Compatible with eRead Illinois Axis 360 Platform
Baker & Taylor has released a browser-based reader to eRead Illinois<ereadillinois.info> libraries that allows users to access e-books from their browser without having to download any additional apps or software. The reader is compatible with Chromebooks through the Chrome browser and with Mac and Windows based computers through Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer.

eRead Illinois libraries will be among the first in the country to have access to the browser-based reader. RAILS strongly advocated for the need for this reader based on input we received from members and from our school library members in particular. Thanks to you for helping to make this happen! This once again proves that we are indeed stronger together.
