Subject: [ISLMA-Share] color genrefying & categories

I am thinking about color genrefying my library.

They will still be arranged by author's last name, but they will be color labeled by genre so kids can find the translucent blue over the call number for mystery or purple for fantasy, etc.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Also, for anyone that has genreyfied, can you tell me the categories of genres that move the most at your schools so that I know how many colors to start with?

So far I am thinking of
Mystery
Fantasy
Science-fiction/Dystopian
Sports
Coming-of-Age

What else should I do?

Thanks!
