Can anyone tell me how many copies of each book you need to conduct this type of activity?

Subject: Re: [ISLMA-Share] March Book Madness Help!

I let my student library panel select sixteen books to start, but I seeded them (based somewhat on their circulation statistics). We made a physical bracket on the library bulletin board. We had three rounds of voting. I think we had the polls open for a week each round. I did the voting for each round via Google Forms (including book cover images) and put the link on my library home page. English teachers shared the links with the kids, too.

By using Google Forms, it was easy to tabulate book votes for each round. I also had an Amazon card as a raffle prize. Each round a student voted in, his/her name was put in the drawing. I required the students to use their school emails on the Google form so they could only take it once each round and this gave me their names to cut up and enter in my raffle.

Good afternoon!!

I'm starting my planning early for March and I want to try and do a March Madness tournament. This is my first time trying something like this and I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to share any tips for a successful program. I'm in a high school library and I'm looking for any and all tips - advertising, collecting votes, choosing the books, etc.

Thanks so much!
