[ISLMA-Share] Monarch Readers needed!

[Email list for the Illinois School Library Media Association]

The Monarch Award Committee invites you to join us as a reader!  This
satisfying and very interesting position offers you the opportunity to read
100 children’s books for students in grades K-3, and to voice your opinion
on which titles will appear on next year’s Monarch Master List of 20.  Each
reader is responsible for finding the books on the list, generally
available at your library.  Correspondence is done through email, and we
all convene once a year at a public library to vote on the final list.  The
position asks for a three-year tour of duty commitment.

 If you enjoy reading and discussing children’s books with like minded
librarians and teachers, and thrill at the notion of introducing thousands
of young readers to outstanding books, let us hear from you!
