I have my admin degree but am hired as a LRC director and only have
authority over my own library that I manage. I have participated in the
interviewing of applicants but have no choice as to who gets an interview.
I give my aide instructions daily that tend to pop up as well as oversee
her daily duties. I do have input on her evals but do not write up the
evaluations nor am I present when an administrator goes over the eval with
her.
The one time I did have trouble with a past aide I went to my admin about
it. She was a great help and eventually got the aide removed.
