[ISLMA-Share] Fines in Destiny

If there’s a way I’d like to know it too. I haven’t found it.

What we do that helps a bit is when a student has an overdue book and they report it as lost, we renew it before marking it lost. This puts the fines on their record up until the day it was marked lost and then also charges them the replacement cost. When they return the book the lost fee goes away, but they have SOMETHING of a late fee so they’re not gaming the system too badly.

Good morning!  I have a quick question about Destiny and I'm wondering if anyone out there could help me, before I call tech support.  :)

We will have students who find books and return them after they've been marked lost in our system.  They did not pay for a replacement of the book, though, and now we want to charge them a late fine, but when the book is returned in the system, a message pops up saying that all fines are being deleted.  Is there a way that I can change this so that instead of just deleting the "Lost Fine" it will calculate a late fine?
