[ISLMA-Share] book room

We have book room, which contains multiple copies of levelled books. We
did not choose the books. Our building already had a lot of them. We
barcoded and labelled them, cataloged them very simply (many records are in
WorldCat already), and put them in order in a designated area for teacher
access. It would be best to discuss what is needed (fiction, nonfiction,
what topics of nonfiction, levels needed, how they would be used, how many
copies, can they be checked out singly by library users) with the teachers
who would use them. If you need to know where to buy them, Benchmark
Education
<http://www.benchmarkeducation.com/administrators/curriculum-and-instruction/resource-types/leveled-books>
probably
has the biggest catalog, though many publishers, ie. National Geographic,
have their own collections. It is a big job but well worth the doing as
long as you are making them more accessible.
