A Morning with Mike Eisenberg: Developing and Delivering Dynamic School Libraries for Student Success

Join school library advocate and visionary Mike Eisenberg Saturday, May 20 for a working session to envision and plan for your 21st-century school library.

This event will take place on Dominican University's Main Campus (map<https://www.google.com/maps/place/Dominican+University/@41.9024125,-87.8220588,15z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x29436b6b94ce1423!8m2!3d41.9024125!4d-87.8220588>), 7900 West Division Street, River Forest, in the Borra Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence, Parmer Hall, room 115. Attendance is free, with registration requested by May 12. The presentation and exercises are designed for current school librarians. School administrators and pre-service school library students are also welcome. CPDUs are available for this 2.5-hour event.

Mike Eisenberg<http://faculty.washington.edu/mbe/> is the founding dean and dean emeritus of the Information School at the University of Washington and was founding director of the Information Institute of Syracuse (including the ERIC Clearinghouse on Information & Technology, AskERIC, and GEM, the Gateway to Education Materials). Mike and his co-author Bob Berkowitz created the Big6<http://www.big6.com/> approach to information literacy, and he has worked with thousands of students-pre-K through higher education-as well as people in business, government, and communities to improve their information and technology skills. Mike's current work focuses on information, communications, and technology (ICT) literacy, information credibility, and information science education K-20.
