Hi everyone,

I've had an English teacher ask me for suggestions on short stories that can be used for a freshman honors course to be read in conjunction with George Orwell's Animal Farm. It could have similar themes or could be a political allegory or dystopian, but they want to focus on the rhetorical appeals of ethos, pathos, and logos. The obvious one to me is Vonnegut's "Harrison Bergeron," but I'd like to investigate and suggest some more contemporary alternatives as well. Does anyone have any great ideas or know what your English teachers might be doing?
