[ISLMA-Share] breakout EDU lock

Hey all,

So what are your procedures for checking out the BreakoutEDU boxes?

I just bought 5 boxes for my school. I’m thinking teachers leave the locks open when teachers finish. Which do you prefer when they return the boxes: default code or leaving the locks unlocked?

What other procedures do I need to address?

Do you inventory each part (I’m thinking to barcode each lock) or the entire box as a kit?

I am also planning on replacing the key lock with another key lock that is the same key for each and every lock. Anyone have key issues with a solution?

Sincerely,

Alan, Librarian serving Brooks Middle School

Lock cutter.

I had to sacrifice one of my directional locks. Painful, but necessary!

Another Breakout EDU hack that has helped me: paint the letter locks with clear nail polish. Even after just a few uses, the printed letters were rubbing off our locks.

I have a breakout EDU lock that won’t come open and it is attached to my box. It is the symbol lock. Any suggestions?
