I have an 8th grade teacher who reads Unwind by Schusterman every year.
It's dystonia novel but leaves off on cliffhangers most chapters. Students
always try to come into the library to check it out so they can read
ahead. Beware though that it can be disturbing...here's the blurb

it. Another 8th grade teacher has read Compound

by Bodeen and is currently reading to her class What Happened to Cass
McBride?
