*** A survey for public libraries ***

The Space Science Institute's National Center for Interactive learning, in partnership with the American Library Association, Afterschool Alliance, Lunar and Planetary Institute, and Datum Advisors, would like your input on developing a STEM readiness tool. This effort is part of a larger project funded by the National Science Foundation called the STAR Library Network (STAR Net) where STAR stands for Science-Technology Activities and Resources (see www.starnetlibraries.org<https://t.e2ma.net/click/q0ql5/iu8wqv/yeblol> for details). Your input is critical to understanding the current state of STEM programming and activities in public libraries across the nation.

In this survey<https://t.e2ma.net/click/q0ql5/iu8wqv/e7blol> you will be asked about how your library implements STEM programs and activities currently, your views about STEM in public libraries, and other similar topics. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete. All information you provide will be completely confidential and will not be tracked back to you or the library in which you currently work. Your responses will help us collectively understand what resources and approaches can help libraries facilitate STEM learning for their communities.

If you have any questions about this study, please contact project director, Robert Jakubowski atDatumAdvisors at gmail.com<https://t.e2ma.net/click/q0ql5/iu8wqv/uzclol> to learn more.

Thanks in advance for your help!

-- STAR Net's Research Team

The STAR Library Network (STAR Net) is a hands-on learning network for libraries and their communities across the country. STAR Netfocuses on helping library professionals build their STEM skills by providing "science-technology activities and resources" (STAR) and training to use those resources. Plus, engage public audiences nationwide in informal and lifelong learning with the excitement of exploration and discovery through new NASA@ My Library resources! STAR Net is built upon a strong network of collaborators and partners, led by the Space Science Institute's (SSI) National Center for Interactive Learning (NCIL). Partners include the American Library Association's Public Programs Office, Lunar and Planetary Institute, Afterschool Alliance, Education Development Center, Datum Advisors, Cornerstones of Science, and the Pacific Science Center. Major funding is provided by the National Science Foundation, NASA Science Mission Directorate, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
