[ISLMA-Share] Looking for a good-turns-into-evil character

[Email list for the Illinois School Library Media Association]

8th-grade boy wants a story with a good character who turns into an evil
character. I can think of grown-up stories, or evil turns into good, but
I'm blanking on this one.
The student said it could be the main character or a supporting character.
