School Library Media Association who have made outstanding contributions to
school library media programs in Illinois.

Winner of the *ISLMA Upstart Award* recognizing a school library media
center’s achievement in planning and implementing an innovative or creative
service which has a measurable impact on users.


*Dr. Julie FogartyPrincipal, Forest Elementary School* (now assigned to
Algonquin Middle School), Des Plaines
Winner of the *ISLMA Administrator of the Year Award* recognizing the
meritorious support of a school library program by a building or district
level school administrator

*Honor Awards*
These special honor awards are designed to honor and recognize individuals
for distinguished and exceptional service or contributions to ISLMA and/or
the library community. The awards are unique in that they are initiated by
a member of the Board, are highly selective, and given only at the
discretion of the Board.

*Katherine Hlousek*
*Librarian, Emiliano Zapata Academy, Chicago*
Recipient of the *First Page Award* recognizing the contributions of a
member within the first five years of membership for service to the
organization and contribution to librarianship in Illinois.

*Follett*
Recipient of the *Pillar Award* recognizing an exhibit vendor for their
continued support of the organization, of school libraries or of school
library professionals.
