[ISLMA-Share] copyright in art question

Amy,

Copyright is in no way my strongest area and I'm sure others will be able
to significantly add on to this conversation but my first reaction is that
the painting looks as if it's made up almost entirely of images taken from
elsewhere.

I'd be interested to see if the men, cars, buildings, etc. could all be
found in various photographs of the time. Appropriation into one piece of
work. Here's a brief article I found regarding that but I'm sure there is a
better source out there.

Not sure if that really answers it, but it's an interesting point of
conversation. I'll be curious to see what others have to say.
