If you order books through Follett, they provide all of the SLJ's book reviews each month. I shop directly from those lists and add to my ongoing order each month. Go to the Follett Titlewave homepage as you log in, scroll down and look on the right side of the screen. You'll see a small notice toward the bottom that looks like this:

I love SLJ, but it was too pricey for me to continue the subscription. And when it came down to it, I was using the subscription mainly for their book reviews.

I just received notification from my magazine subscription service that School Library Journal is significantly raising it's subscription rates for single site use.  I am the librarian for a small rural school district and don't have the option of choosing the multi-site subscription rate.  It has been my primary tool for collection development for the last several years, so I find myself in a bit of a pickle.  What other tools/sites do the rest of you use for collection development recommendations that don't break your budgets?  Thanks in advance.
