[ISLMA-Share] One Book, One School.

I can't say enough about having a student reader panel make your selection.
That was the only year we had any real success. (We tried showing trailers
and having kids vote, but they ended up picking a book that had a great
trailer, but was too difficult for more of the students to actually soldier
through.) Pick a handful of kids who like to read and have them read from
your list of potentials (I like ALA Quickpicks as a starting point---and if
any of those are on the Best Fiction for Young Adults as well, that really
can narrow your choice.) Probably want something that's in paperback too...

Have them meet and talk about what they liked about their titles, what
would be easy enough for everybody to read...
