[ISLMA-Share] Student Book Selection Committee for elementary school

[Email list for the Illinois School Library Media Association]

I am hoping to create a student book selection committee for our elementary library. I would like it to be comprised of 5th grade students. Has anyone done this before and if yes are you willing to share your process, and any advice you may have.
