** We have a crazy idea!
------------------------------------------------------------

As the national PAC for libraries and a gold-rated non-profit (https://www.guidestar.org/profile/46-1534149) , we have a crazy idea that we think will change the game for library advocacy and building voter support for libraries.

What if we could reach one million Americans and activate them for libraries with petitions, pledges, and political action whenever libraries are threatened in the United States? We already have over 250,000 people on our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/everylibrary) but what if our neighbors, friends, and family members got a personal invitation to show up in support of libraries?
------------------------------------------------------------

https://www.facebook.com/EveryLibrary/Join us on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/EveryLibrary/) and take a few minutes to invite your friends to like our page. After you invite your friends, let us know on this page (http://action.everylibrary.org/millioninvites) and we'll send you some great vote libraries art in the mail!
------------------------------------------------------------
There have been recent threats to library funding (http://everylibrary.org/library-closures-defunding-2017/) from Donald Trump, the Tea Party, and the Koch Brothers, and recent closures to libraries like Douglas County. That’s why activating Americans for libraries is more urgent now than ever. If we want to keep making big impacts on the future of library funding, we need a bigger network. We need to know who supports libraries in the United States and that’s why we are launching the One Million Americans for Libraries (http://action.everylibrary.org/millionamericans) campaign to find, reach, and activate more people like you.

To help us reach our goal of One Million Americans, you can do two small things right now:

1. Go to the EveryLibrary Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/EveryLibrary/) and click the “invite” button on the right, then invite friends to join you and like the page. It’s the most effective thing you can do to support this campaign. And if you invite your friends and let us know here (http://action.everylibrary.org/millioninvites) , we'll send you some great vote libraries art!

2. Visit this page (http://action.everylibrary.org/nextstepstoonemillion) and share our million Americans for libraries images, badges, videos, and more across your social media networks. Help us get the word out today!

EveryLibrary’s vision since the beginning has been that “any library funding initiative anywhere should matter to every library everywhere.” We use these large networks to activate Americans against library closures and defunding, to sign petitions and take action when libraries are threatened, and to provide pro-bono consulting to libraries during elections to help them win. We have also built one of the largest and most powerful action platform for libraries at action.everylibrary.org and we can really put this platform to into overdrive with a larger Facebook audience (http://www.facebook.com/everylibrary) of library supporters.

Thank you,

John Chrastka (http://www.twitter.com/mrchrastka)
Executive Director
