Our school has an Amazon Prime Account so I buy all my supplies through Amazon. We charge the following:

$2 - Paper Cup, Sleeve & lid, K-Cup, 2 creamers
$1 - BYOC (bring your own cup or K-cup) - so if they have their own cup or bring a k-cup and just need the cup its only $1
.50 - Only need water - If they only need water because they brought their own stuff then I charge them .50

I also give Customer Loyalty cards out...buy 5 get 1 free.

>From Amazon I keep in stock Regular Coffee (usually Dunkin Donuts) and seasonal flavors, right now Pumpkin Spice, Cinnabon. Kids love the David's Cookie Chocolate Chip Cappuccino, and also have hot cocoa packets and Apple Cider K-cups. I usually buy in bulk so anywhere between 36-60 K-cups at a time to keep the cost per k-cup down.

This is our 2nd year and we just added a 2nd Keurig, very busy!

I think $2 is a fair amount when considering the k-cup cost and paper cup/lid.

We also have student volunteers running the coffee bar in the am (two at a time) and they earn a free cup for every 5 shifts worked (only 20 min at a time).
Hope that helps!

Aldi has 20-pack k-cups for $4 or $5! It may be regular coffee, but I bet you could make up for that with flavored creamers.

Katie,

Do you allow students to bring their own cups, or do they have to purchase from you?

We have been successfully selling "coffee" in our library for several years now. It allows us to purchase books and movies for our collection that we would otherwise not be able to afford. We hang a sign by the Keurig machines with a list of the books we've been able to add to our collection thanks to their purchase.

We buy all of our coffee supplies from Amazon. If you order at least five items and use Subscribe & Save you can save 15% on the K-cups.
We charge $2 for students and $1.50 for staff. They receive a cup with a lid, k-cup, three single french vanilla liquid creamers and as much powdered creamer, sugar, and stirrers that they need.
We purchase these flavors: French Vanilla, Caramel Vanilla, Nutty Caramel, Butter Toffee, Regular, Decaf, Hot Cocoa, Hot Apple Cider (not very popular) and a Tea Variety pack.

Hope this helps!

To anyone selling coffee to students in their libraries:
We recently bought a Keurig so that students could buy coffee while they're in the library, and it's been great! Unfortunately, my assistant and I feel like we're running out to Sam's or Wal-Mart every other day for k-cups and supplies, no matter how much we stock up.
My questions to anyone currently doing this:
1. how much do you charge per cup? We charge $1, but we're not making much money
2. where do you purchase k-cups? Our kids drink primarily hot chocolate and the sweetened cappucino flavors (not much regular coffee). I try to find them on sale for no more than 50 cents each, but this is getting challenging.
Any bright ideas or shared wisdom would be much appreciated! :)
