We have them take the AR quiz for the book.  Then all I have to do is check the AR report for the information.

I created a Google Classroom. Each book has an assignment where the students have to write a short reflection about one aspect of the book, i.e. what effect the setting has on the story, what adversity did the main character have to overcome, etc... Kids write and turn it in and I can then check them off as having completed it.

    Would anyone mind sharing with me how they hold their 3rd - 5th grades students accountable for the Bluestem nominee books they read.  In the past, I have just taken students word for what book they have actually read.  However, I suspiciously had quite a few students read a number of them the last week or so before the deadline.  I am just curious if anyone has a creative way to find out if the students actually read the books they claim to.
