I like *Fablehaven*, but I would place that on the creepy side!

What about *The Sisters Grimm*, by Michael Buckley? Or *Animorphs*? Also,
some classics - *The Time Machine*, *Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde*, *20,000
Leagues Under the Sea*?
