Dear Sally,

Good morning! I have submitted my application and have reached out to your principal explaining my interest in your position. Currently I am a first year media specialist in a high school and have nine years of experiencing teaching high school math as well. I have a few questions for you in regards to your building's expectations and goals. Do you have an opportunity to collaborate and co-teach with staff in your building? Would you say that your role as librarian is more future focused with technology and research lessons, emphasized more on books and literacy, or a blend of both? In my currently position, I have initiated new programs for the students, offered professional development, maintained iPads, balanced the budget, and am trying to boost the climate within the school so that I can effectively supplement the curriculum through teaching and resources I have always wanted to work at the middle school level but understand that by jumping grade levels and that can cause an oversight at the administration level. Any advice or insight to your responsibilities would be very helpful, and if nothing else, can help me better transition into a middle school at some point in my career.

Thank you for your time, and I wish you the best as you transition into retirement.

Sincerely,

Eileen

Thank you,
Sally
