[ISLMA-Share] Need Help! Overdue Book Policies and Fees Charged

We allow K to have 2 books, 1-8 can have 3.

I allow students to check out books even if they have an overdue or lost
book. I want to keep students reading as much as possible and make the
library a positive experience. I figure we have thousands of other books,
so 1-2 overdue books aren't hurting anyone. If someone wants a book that a
student has overdue, then I'll take further steps (talk to the student in
person, call home, etc). It hasn't been a problem at all since I changed
this policy in our elementary school last year.

We collect fines in the middle school (grades 6-8, 5 cents per item per
school day), and I send overdue notices every week via email to K-5 parents
and 6-8 students.
