[ISLMA-Share] Rebecca C vs Monarch and Blue Stem

I buy Caudill books for my fourth and fifth grade students. We also participate in Bluestem for grades 3-5 and Monarch K-3. I do not purchase the upper grade titles, and occasionally there is a title or two that they recommend for 5-8 that I may decide not to purchase as well. I do have students who check out these upper grade choices from their public library though. Some of my 5th graders are more comfortable with more of the Bluestem choices, but my stronger readers prefer the Caudills.

We buy most of the Caudill books for our 4-6 building, excluding anything that seems overly mature or specifically geared to 7/8 readers.

Hello!

Quick question –

How many of you buy Rebecca Caudill Books for your elementary schools? Or specifically for your 5th grade class – with removal of the very obvious UG ones?

Thanks!
