Not 3 different MARC records – I guess just 3 different locations with 3 different call #’s– some for students and some for staff. If a student asks me if we have Sounder in the library and we have Sounder as a library book (F ARM) , a playaway (PLAYB ARM) , a battle of the book book (BOB ARM) and as a classroom novel set (TR ARM) – we would see that we have 40 copies but then have to click on the copies to see that 2 are library copies, 2 are playaway book, 6 are Battle of the Book Books and 30 belong to a classroom set. When we search, the call # appears alphabetically so it looks like we have 40 Battle of the Books books… We would like to have 4 separate entries.

Are you referring to 3 difficult MARC records? Sometimes there is a reason for that, such as Library binding vs. paperback or they republished that book several times. I’m sure there are others.

Hello,
Does anyone know if there is an easy way to break out records in Destiny without deleting them and losing all the data? For example, if I have a title that has 3 different call #’s with 3 different circulation types – one on the library shelf, one for a Battle of the Books book, one as a guided reading book as an example - how do I move those books into its own entry? So in the end I would have 3 different entries for the same title.
Thanks,
Amy
