Hi Donna,

As someone who worked as Librarian in an elementary school with
predominantly Spanish-speaking students, my two cents is that it's
important to have BOTH translations of popular picture books and novels
originally written in English AND those originally written in Spanish. Kids
want both.

In regards to vendors and lists of good books to choose from, Lectorum
<https://lectorum.com> has tons of great options.

Also, Chicago Public Schools Dept of Libraries
<https://cps.edu/Pages/TL_Libraries.aspx> puts together a curated list
called SALSA, which stands for Spanish Acclaimed Literature Summary for
All, and has recommended Spanish language books for PreK-12th. You can find
the link on their website, but I'm also attaching a PDF of their 2016 list
below.

Not sure what vendors you use, but Follett also has a good Spanish
selection.

Best of luck!

Sincerely,

Sarah Vecchi
formerly Librarian at Lorca ES Chicago Public Schools
now Librarian at Alcott ES Lake Washington School District
