I am new at my school, trying to set up guidelines and protocol for high
school students. My library is used by PreK-12.

I allow students in grades 5-12 to have light snacks, i.e., granola bars,
fruit, etc. They can't bring their lunch in and eat in here. I also let
them have beverages as long as there is a cap/cover on the container. This
includes energy drinks, coffee, water, etc.

I'm also considering a coffee bar for the library and would love to hear
the logistics of how other schools do this. I don't want to be making
coffee all day, so who makes it?
Who pays for the coffee and supplies? Who does the shopping for the
supplies? Do kids pay for their coffee and if so, how does that work?

Happily Ever After,

Karrie Fisher
