[AISLE-Share] Drama by Raina Telgemeier

Good morning,

Recently, I have had a parent turn in a Request for Reconsideration form
for Drama by Raina Telgemier. The reasons shared were because of the books
sexual content and homosexual characters. This title is currently housed in
two schools, one that is 3rd-5th grade building, the other in 6-8.

*I am looking for feedback on how many upper elementary schools have this
title in their upper elementary libraries (up to grade 5). *

To date, this book is #2 for the past 5 years in our upper elementary
library for check outs, with over 360 checkouts and 5 copies. Like her
others, this one is just as popular, if not the most.

This is not the first challenge I have had, and I am familiar with the book
challenge process and our committee is meeting to discuss. Currently, I am
just gathering facts and if you'd like to email me off list (
ThompsonS at winnebagoschools.org) with any information you'd like to share
that would be great.* Again, I am specifically looking to see how many
upper elementary schools have Drama, and other Telgemeier titles.  *
