[AISLE-Share] Social issues book resources

[Email list for the Association of Illinois School Library Educators]

Hi everyone,

The 6th grade team at my school will be working on a social issues reading
unit. They need a collection of texts that include: *poetry anthologies,
short stories, and picture books*.
The social issues the unit focuses on are: *racial and ethnicity,
immigration, physical and mental disabilities, family issues, loss, body
image, political oppression, and LGBT*.

Any suggestions you can send my way will be greatly appreciated!
