8th grade yes. 7th grade maybe. 6th grade no. I've promoted it to 8th graders. I let 7th graders find it on their own.

I just wish they skipped the page on masturbation in the online realm. It did nothing for the storyline, but Cline included it. I guess sex, even with just yourself, sell.

With the movie "Ready Player One" coming out, I've had some of my 7th and 8th grade students asking for the book. It's listed as "adult" in reviews. I have not yet read it. If you have read it, do you think it is an appropriate book for 7th and 8th grade students?
