Check out the book "Dirt is Good: The Advantage of Germs for Your Child's Developing Immune System." It is on the 2018 IL READS list this year. It was written by Jack Gilbert PhD and Rob Knight PhD. Gilbert works for the Microbiome in Chicago. They are dedicated to education and training - https://microbiome.uchicago.edu/page/education-and-training.
