I did set aside and used almost all of the time required for both exams, Level 1 and Level 2. Much of the exam is practical use, so you are actively working the whole time, too. I also recommend have two computers available to use (for example, a laptop and a desktop). That will allow you to be able to use a separate computer to do searches, etc. They encourage you to use Google Help resources if needed during the test. Something else I didn't realize until I went to take the test was that you need to have a computer/device that has a camera you can use for authentication purposes while taking the test. They make you take a picture and leave your camera on while you take the test.As far as ELIS goes, I haven't looked into that, but I imagine your school district or ROE will information about how you can use those hours.
Hope this helps, Alison KurtzLibrary Media Specialist515 E. Lions Rd.Sandwich, IL 60548815.786.2157 (ext. 22134)akurtz at sandwich430.org

You really do need to set aside one 180 minute block to complete the exam in one sitting.
Unless something has changed recently, Google is not an approved provider for ISBE so you would need to contact the people in your district who approve PD to see if they have guidelines to follow for claiming from your district.  Our district has procedures to follow for a non-ISBE approved provider activity in order to obtain an EOC to enter into ELIS.

I just finished the last lesson in the first level of the Google Educator Certification and it says that the exam is 180 minutes which made me wonder is that the allowed amount of time or will you really need to set aside that much time to take this?  And, by chance does anyone know if you can use the time spent on this for professional development credits with ELIS?  Thanks!--
