[ISLMA-Share] Memoirs

I'm in the process of pulling out biographies (ours have been shelved in
with nonfiction) and integrating memoirs, so this was a spot-on question
for me.
Here is where I"m confused: I'm looking at the *Abridged Dewey Decimal
Classification 15* book for help with some Dewey questions, and 920 is
biography, of course.

921 is "Philosophers and psychologists" (presumably "biographies of..."
922 is "Religious leaders , thinkers & workers"

Why are all my biographies classified as 921? And what would be the
thought process behind putting memoirs at 922? (This is a genuine follow
up question, not a criticism of your question, Amy! :) ). Am I missing or
misunderstanding something in the Dewey guide? Ultimately I may just label
them Biography & Memoir, but now I"m curious about this. Some input from
someone who knows more about cataloging than I do would be appreciated!

Thanks!
Anita
