Hi everyone!

I know there's been recent talk about author visits. I wanted to reach to
ask what are some things you do in preparation of an author visit?

Alan Gratz is coming to our school in April and I have an idea of what the
day will look like, grade-level presentations, book signings and lunch with
the author. However, this is my very first time I host an author visit. I
would love tips/ideas on what you do to welcome the author. Do you have
students make posters? Do you do a welcome sign? Bulletin board?

Our students know he's coming and they've been reading his books, and
bought his books at the book fair. Teachers are students are very excited
about his visit. I just want to make sure the author feels very welcome
when he comes.

Thanks in advance!
