[ISLMA-Share] Classifying books about women in different fields

I have found that books do better in their subject classifications rather than in a general biographies section- it’s more intuitive to go to the sports section to find a sports biography than a general biographies section- and maybe the kid will find another sports book that catches their eye as well. The only reason I can think of, or that I’ve heard, for having a biographies section is for biography projects, but if I have a copy category for biographies, they’re easy enough to pull if teachers need a cart of them, and to browse the catalog if a kid wants a biography.

I’m wondering if most libraries keep the titles classified this way, or change it to 920 collective biographies. What would be more intuitive for students?
