[ISLMA-Share] New Book display ideas?

[Email list for the Illinois School Library Media Association]

We put ‘New’ tape on the spine/cover with the date and keep them on display on our low shelves for a couple of months. We also have 2 monitors on the wall, and we run slide shows with the new book covers.  Students do ask for books they see on the monitors.

I also set new items on specific shelves but feel the most impact is placing the picture of the book and a brief synopsis on a digital frame that is right next to the checkout terminal. The students are standing there a minute and actually see what is flashing across the frame.
