I was one of those teens raised in the 1980s who seldom swore because I
respected the power of such words.  There's no greater principle of this
than in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.  Paper Girls is on my list of
things to read this summer, and was actually pressed into my hands when it
first came out by a friend who reads comics and knows I work with reluctant
readers.  He's never been wrong in his ability to "pick a winner" and I
really don't know why it's taken me this long to check it out.  Its
appearance on the Abe List further confirmed for me its quality.  I'll
probably track down my copy of the collection when I get home.
