[AISLE-Share] Research databases

[Email list for the Association of Illinois School Library Educators]

I love the Gale products that I have used. They are generally more
expensive thank other options, but sometimes you get what you pay for. They
are Google integrated which is very convenient for both students and
teachers. They are also continuously updated and have lots of source
options.

At the middle school level we have Research in Context at the high school
we have Resource in Context. They are similar in scope but geared for the
different levels. I would not say that either one is interchangeable or
good for both grade levels. There are peer reviewed sources.

For Gale, each building that uses them is charged separately by enrollment,
so there isn't real financial incentive to get one for both anyway.
