A few more of the post-apocalyptic favorites:

   - *Ship Breaker* by Paolo Bacigalupi (scavengers after rising seas have
   wiped out most of land)
   - *Life As We Knew It* by Susan Pfeffer (asteroid knocks the moon closer
   to Earth and causes severe climate change)
   - *Epitaph Road* by David Patneaude (virus wipes out almost all males)
