How old are her sons? Do you know what school they go to. Maybe PM me? I’d like to donate age appropriate books in their mom’s honor to their school library.

EAST PEORIA ~ Angela Lynn Green, 48, of East Peoria, passed away at 10:05 p.m. Monday, November 12, 2018 at her mother’s home in Pekin.

Born September 5, 1970 in Pekin to Wayne and Pat (Melton) Watson, she married Leonard Green on August 23, 2004 in Springfield. He survives.  Also surviving are her two sons, Isaiah and Isaac Green of East Peoria; mother, Pat Watson of Pekin; three sisters, Dollie (Bryan) Kenser of Rushville, Jennifer Burroughs of Pekin and Michelle (Nick) Agnew of Goodfield; her in-laws, Johnny and Nancy Adams and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and brother-in-law, Darran Green.

Angie was a 1988 graduate of Pekin Community High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree, two Master’s Degrees (Master of Arts in Education as well as Library & Information Science), and her teaching certificate from Dominican University.

She worked as a Library Development Consultant for Alliance Library System in East Peoria for 23 years until its closing.  From 2012 to 2015, Angie worked as District Librarian for Illini Bluffs School District #327.  She served a term as the President of the Illinois School Library Media Association.  Most recently, she was both a Reference Librarian for Illinois Central College and Library Media Specialist for Peoria Public School District 150 where Angie pursued her passion of working with children.

Angela loved teaching, reading, laughing and coloring. Her most cherished time was spent with family, especially her boys.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God located at 2201 E. Washington Street, East Peoria, Illinois. Pastor Fred Doughty will officiate. There will be no visitation.

 Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

 Memorial contributions may be made to CEFCU for an account established for her two boys.
