I have Library classes for PreK-6th grade. Classes are 60 minutes long and
are preps for teachers, so they do not stay. I have an MLIS in Library
Science (Type 10 K-12 certificate) and an Elementary Teaching (03) degree.
I am alone in the Library, so there is no aide. I plan regular lessons
aligned to CCSS and I-SAIL standards (and sometime ISTE). I DO give grades
for 1st-6th grade based on the work they complete in the Library. Students
check out books once a week as part of their Library class.
