[AISLE-Share] Grades in Library?

At my elementary school, library time is part of teacher prep but I only
have the students for 20 minutes. They go to music or PE when they leave
me. I have no computers to teach any tech skills. I read a story and have
check out. I try to include a library skills lesson even if it is just
identifying where the book would be on the shelf by the call number. I am
at the elementary school 2 days a week and see 500 students in those 2 days.

At my middle school, teachers do come with the classes as it is part of the
LA curriculum. I have 5th grade for 15 minutes because of the way their
schedule is set up but they can come in anytime I am there if they need
another book. I have 7th and 8th grade once a month on different Mondays
and am at the high school on Friday mornings. That is the only morning the
high school students can come into the library. My aide there has to cover
the girls locker room the last 10 minutes of each class and the first 10 of
the next. She is gone a half period every period.

I do not have any aides other than her and do all the purchasing and
cataloging by myself for all three buildings so I have built time into my
week to try to get that done.
